A standing nude figure is shown with her arms lifted overhead, holding a small suspended object in one hand. Sinco Gaudi treats the subject with loose, expressive brushwork, allowing the broad strokes and muted blue-grey ground to remain visible throughout the painting. The palette of softened blues, greys, beiges and pinks gives the work a restrained, intimate quality, while the full-length pose introduces a quiet tension. Presented within Figure Drawing Blue, it sits comfortably within the artist’s moody approach to life drawing. Its portrait orientation and subdued tone would suit a calm, light-filled interior or a more contemplative room.
